Once upon a time, delivering a break-up note meant leaving your apartment and heading for the mail box, which gave you some time to decide whether sending your lover a manic overview of your dead relationship was really such a good idea. Of course, that was pre-Twitter. Now there are loads of new and instant ways to make an ass of yourself—and therefore a whole new pool of real-life emails, Facebook messages, and drunken texts to provide grist for this ninth annual “anti-Valentine’s Day cabaret.” The well-curated show includes new songs by Anthony Roberts and standout comedy by Jessica Jane Childs. It’s cathartic if you’re single, an occasion for shadenfreude if you’re not. —Dan Jakes
